I am
trained in and draw from various different therapeutic approaches,
believing that an eclectic way of working is best suited to meet the
different individual's wants and needs.
I have substantial
experience as a counsellor, both in the voluntary sector as well as
in private practice.
My background is in Mental Health, and
I have been working with Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse and
Survivors of the Mental Health System for over 15 years in both
Austria, USA and Manchester, UK.
In the past I have
volunteered as a Counsellor and on the Help-line for the Gay and
Lesbian Foundation and the Manchester Rape and Sexual Abuse
Counselling Service.
I work according to the British
Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical
Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and
Psychotherapy.
I positively welcome members from diverse
cultural and ethnical backgrounds, of different sexual orientations,
abilities, ages and gender.
